Most of us today is unaware on what might happen to our bones if we don't have sufficient sources of calcium. People who engaged in lots of vices like smoking, drinking too much alcohol, sodium rich foods and less exercise may cause them to have diseases and fractures in the future. Doctors aadvice that we need to take care of our bones because without it, motion is impossible. Bones are made up of calcium so in order for us to maintain it stronger, we should take or eat foods and beverages rich in calcium. Milk is one of the best source of calcium that we can drink everyday. It contains almost 200mg per glass and covers three fourths of our daily calcium need. Some Filipinos do not meet this needs because they did not develop the habit of drinking a glass of milk, this may lead to a bigger chance of having bone disease.
In my personal experience before, I often felt cracking in my ribs every time I twist my body from left to right vice versa every time I woke up in the morning because that is my routine before I leave our house. I feel a little pain maybe because I don't practice to drink milk everyday and this might be the result of less in taking of calcium in my body. I also had an arthritis at me early age and it feels some much pain to me. I can't walk by myself straightly and still needs someone to guide me. For me not to experience again the same painful situations, I already started to drink milk at least twice a day then I felt more active and no worries already that crosses my mind. I also had my own schedule for my exercise to have stronger bones and muscles.
Furthermore, there is a possibility that people may become prone to fractures when bones start to loose calcium. Osteoporosis usually exist to old women's who has calcium deficiency and counted as on of the worst bone disease today. It is also possible for the young persons. We should not be surprised soon when bone diseases starts to occur, its just the result of being unaware.
We still have enough time to avoid this problem.
